WINTER IN MONACO RETURN TO THE YACHT CLUB

In the opening of the auction, Artcurial will present a bycicle as a symbol of the distance it has come since opening in 2005 its department Hermès Vintage & Fashion led by Pénélope Blanckaert. The auction house has been a leader in this specialty and marks more and more record sales. The exceptional and rare bycicle has never been seen at auction before and was created in the ateliers of the famous luxury brand.

A stunning collection of special orders, unique pieces, iconic models, ancient stones and contemporary creations has carefully been selected by Artcurial for this winter auction season.

All of the biggest names around Place Vendôme such as Boucheron, Graf, Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier will be represented.  Artcurial has invited the journalist and jewellery historian, Sandrine Merle, to choose her favourite pieces among the lots on sale. Some of the most sought after brands is Suzanne Belperron with a sublime white-gold-and-diamond set composed of an Egyptian-inspired collier necklace and a corsage clip.

Passionate collectors of beautiful stones will be happy to discover a beautiful platine ring set with a fabulous diamond and a 8,71 carat emerald and two diamond “baguette” (EUR 60,000 – 80,000 / USD 66,000 – 88,000),  a striking yellow gold ring by René Boivin boasting an impressive 3,30 carat diamond.

A major highlight is a watch with enamel reproducing a painting by Simon Vouet from the end of the 17th century.

 

                                            

 

At Artcurial’s 2nd winter sales season in Monaco, bids are set to soar under the gavel of François Tajan, auctioneer at Artcurial and Deputy Chairman at Artcurial SAM.

According to François Tajan, Artcurial returns to Monaco following the success of their first event in 2015 enabling it to attain Euro 4.3 Million and reach out to 1/3 of new clients representing 26 nationalities. New, demanding collectors will actively be competing to take away rare and precious luxury pieces.
